Los Angeles, California

Photographing large cities such equally Los Angeles is always stressful, its not the crowded streets or people everywhere but its the weather. I'm so weather dependent when information technology comes to photographing cites. The weather has to exist just right, I can't accept air pollution which big cities have in abundance. The night before I made this image it rained and the current of air cleared the air out nicely and I just got lucky.
I was not expecting such a broad expansive view from the Beverly Hills area and I will go dorsum in the coming years.

In this VAST photo you lot can come across the italian city of Turin covered by the fog and the pollution on last autumn catamenia in December 2021: the fog and the city pollution creating a fascinating atmosphere contrasting the visibility and clearance of the Alps mountain range surrounding the city and besides in contrast with the clear sky with vibrant colors and delicate isolated clouds.

On the houses roofs you lot can see the snowfall that fallen the 8th of December 2021 and in the streets you can also see the Xmas decorative lights.

Turin is an Italian town of virtually 850,000 inhabitants, the fourth largest town in Italy by population and the capital of the metropolitan city of the aforementioned name and of the Piedmont region.

Heart of a metropolitan area with 2 million inhabitants on an approximate surface of near 2 300 km², Turin is the third economic-productive complex in the country and i of the major university, creative, tourist, scientific and cultural centers in Italia. In its territory at that place are also areas and buildings included in two assets protected by UNESCO: some buildings and areas that are role of the Savoyard residences circuit in Piedmont (world heritage) and the area of the Po hills (biosphere reserve).

A city with a two-thousand-year history, information technology was probably founded near its present location, around the third century BC, by the Taurini, then transformed into a Roman colony by Augustus with the name of Iulia Augusta Taurinorum in the commencement century BC. After the Ostrogothic dominion, information technology was the capital of an important Lombard duchy, and then passed, later on becoming the capital of the Carolingian make, under the nominal lordship of the Savoy in the eleventh century. It is home to very important museums, including the Egyptian Museum, the 2nd largest in the world.

1 of the peculiar characteristics of the urban center, which make information technology unique in the world, is the presence of mountain ranges that environment information technology for a radius of over 100 kilometers, the Alps. Some of these peaks are amid the highest in Europe and Turin is the city with the largest number of high mountains around it in the entire European continent.

To make the view of these beautiful mountains adequate, I wanted to create a series of VASTphoto. I chosed the highest and most panoramic point of the city, from the 700 meters of altitude of the Superga loma where the huge basilica of the same name resides. From the top of this colina the view is unique and spectacular, as you tin see from the photo. It is possible to see the unabridged metropolis and all the villages surrounding information technology with a single glance over a radius of over 100 kilometers in width and about 50 in depth. All the principal buildings and the slap-up directly avenues of the metropolis are clearly visible, from the spire construction of the Mole Antonelliana, its symbol, to the new and modern skyscrapers, upward to all the celebrated buildings of the Savoy.

During my time living in Marin County, I accept discovered countless vistas and compositions that have rarely or never before been professionally photographed. Some are in areas that thousands of people pass every mean solar day, and others are on remote wilderness trails. Dazzler truly is all around us.

One idea I had last year was to spend a few nights on Angel Island, with its spectacular views in all directions. I wanted to sentry a sunset from the mountaintop, and capture a panorama of San Francisco and the North Bay. The problem is, the only way to watch a sunset here is to book a campsite, and the only reliable way to book a camp is to practise then several months out. This means, of form, we accept no control over the weather. We were just hoping to not be fogged out the entire time (which is a very existent possibility in this expanse).

Nigh 6 months later on, my partner and I boarded the ferry and backpacked into our campsite. Just from our tent window, we enjoyed incredible views spanning from San Francisco to the Golden Gate. On the two nights we stayed on the island, something very special happened. Nature gifted usa non simply one, only 2 absolutely spectacular sunsets. I was stunned afterward the commencement one, and even more stunned subsequently this second one. I knew I had to capture every detail of it, and thankfully I had brought my full setup to take this VAST photo!

This is one of my personal favorite photos, and I accept information technology hanging in my own living room. I hope you are able to enjoy it in yours!
